Too Many Web Page Distractions Will Decrease Your Income

When creating web pages they need to get your visitors to take action. That action needs to move them towards earning you some money either immediately or over the course of time, as would happen if you were concentrating on building a list of subscribers.

The most effective way to get people to take action is to present them with only one course of action.

As soon as you have more than one thing for them to do on your web page it will begin to create confusion and the need for decisions.

The less confusion your customers are faced with the more certain you can be that they will do what you want them to do.

If they are two options people will invariably take the one that results in the least income for you.

Let's say you have a web page where you are trying to sell a product where you will earn a commission for $20.

As soon as you add other opportunities for them to leave your site elsewhere you reduce the chances of them spending the money that will earn you the $20 commission.

That's why it is never a good policy to have AdSense or other forms of advertising on the page where people can click on a link that will earn you 20 cents and then go and spend their money on the website that was advertising with the link on your site.

This is a common problems with people new to Internet Marketing where they think that having more opportunities to make money of a page will lead to more income.

That is not the way to make more money.

You should always concentrate on the most profitable aspects of your business and do all you can to promote them to the full and in doing that generate more income from less action.
